
Desk sharing app
Challenge
A fullstack internal web application for booking desks at the office of a software and marketing agency with a team of 70. The agency has a 3-day in-office work policy and no fixed working places for the team members. That meant, members looking for a spot took anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes daily and no guarantee that they will find their desired spot. Core requirements of the application: it should be browser-based, be performant and be able to handle server load of multiple users booking simultaneously without encountering conflicts or latency lags, has intuitive UI with suspense and accessibility features, has in-app toast notifications for user interactions as well as SSO login. ROI: With employees annual time saving between 770 and 1540 hours or average annual cost saving of about 75,000 Euros, the project had an ROI of less than month.
